Altar Guild is open to all men and women who feel called to help “keep the house of the Lord” and prepare places for worship.  These men and women have the responsibility to help in the setup, preparation and decoration of the altar and the church.  They are responsible not only for Sunday services but also for special occasion such as weddings, funerals, and preparing for Christmas and Easter. They are in charge of the altar linens, the flowers, the candles, and the vestments and altar hangings.  The work they do is an offering of time and many talents.  It is a ministry of love undertaken in the name of Christ.

 Sunday School Classes

Classes are offered for preschoolers through senior high youth at 9:15am.

Childcare is available for children under 4 whose parents wish to attend Adult Forum.

MUSIC CLASSES

CHERUBS : 

Choir is offered for children ages 3 - 2^nd grade at 9:00am, immediately before Sunday school.  The young children traditionally sing at Christmas and Easter Services, and are joyfully hoping to sing on other occasions this year.

CHILDREN’S CHOIR: 

On the 2nd and 4th Sundays, third through eighth graders can go to the choir room at 9:50 for music, taught by Gretchen Welch.  They will focus on hymns and service music of the day, as well as other seasonal selections.  Usually children are dismissed by 10:05; however, when they have a song ready to sing in church, we will keep them together and have them sing right before the processional hymn for the 10:15 service.  They would then be free to join their families.

CHILDREN’S CHAPEL

Children’s Chapel is available for children ages 3-8 as part of the 10:15 service.  Children may follow after the cross for a time of lessons and activities, and will rejoin the parish for Eucharist.

NURSERY CARE

Childcare for children under 4 is available downstairs in the nursery during Sunday school (9:15am) and the 10:15 service.

EMMANUEL YOUTH COMMUNITY

Service events and times of faith gathering and fellowship will be planned throughout the year for our older youth.  These activities will complement the Sunday evening service once it begins.
